System Requirements for DJIA Cache

Updated recently

To ensure DJIA Cache runs reliably and delivers stable performance improvements, your site must meet the following requirements:

WordPress Version

WordPress 5.0 or higher
We strongly recommend using the latest stable version of WordPress for maximum compatibility, security, and performance.

PHP Version

PHP 8.0 or higher

DJIA Cache is fully compatible with PHP 8.0+ and performs significantly better on newer PHP versions.

For optimal performance, we recommend:

  • PHP 8.1 or higher
  • OPcache enabled

Database Version

MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+

DJIA Cache works best on up-to-date database engines. Older database versions may impact performance or compatibility.

File Permissions

To function correctly, DJIA Cache requires:

  • wp-content/ folder → Must be writable
DJIA Cache stores cache files, generated assets, and optimization data inside this directory.
  • wp-config.php → Write access required (optional but recommended)
Needed for certain advanced configurations and constant definitions.

Folder Structure

DJIA Cache expects a standard WordPress directory structure:

  • wp-content
  • wp-includes
  • wp-admin

Custom folder renaming, symbolic links, or heavily modified setups may cause unexpected behavior.

Public Accessibility

Your site must be publicly accessible.

DJIA Cache may not function correctly if your site is:

  • Hosted on a local environment
  • Behind HTTP authentication
  • Protected by server-level password restrictions
  • Blocked from external requests

Some features (like cache warmup or performance validation) require external access.

Unsupported Environments

Certain preconfigured server stacks or heavily customized hosting environments may not be fully supported.

If you are unsure whether your setup is compatible, contact support before installation.
